Congradulations Josh and Kayleen!!!

Bassist Joshua Olsen and his long time love Kayleen Redmond, or should we say Mrs. Olsen, tied the knot on August 7th.  The wedding was held at Back Acres Horse Farm in Enumclaw, WA.  It was a beautiful day, with a truly beautiful bride and was one hell of a party!  The ceremony was officiated by Joshua's father Rev. Harry Olsen, and included a special live performance by his mother Carol Olsen, her identical twin sister Betty Nash, and his sister Rebekah Lind.  Kayleen entered the arena on horseback to Lady Antebellums "American Honey" and was walked down the isle by her father Brad Redmond, to Ray Charles "Amazing Grace."  There wasn't a dry eye in the room!  The reception was held in the barn with horse looking on from adjacent stalls, and thing quickly turned into a full blow, down home, hoe down!  It was a wonderful time of friends, family, and celebration.  Congratulations guys.  We love you, and we know you're the real deal.  Be sure to congratulate Joshua and Kayleen at the next show.

Thanks Kimo Muraki

Thanks to Kimo Muraki for spending some time with the band in studio last night.  Kimo, one of Seattles most well know musicians took time out of his schedule to lay down some Pedal Steel tracks for Aces Up's live show.  It was clear in about 5 min that Kimo was a true professional, and he was able to lay down all the tracks in less than two hours.  We were all truly impressed by Kimo as a person and as a musician.  Thanks again Kimo and we look forward working with you in the future.

Back Acres was the perfect location for the photo shoot with it's well maintained grounds a beautiful location.  Owners Anthony and Christine Haskins were kind enough to allow the band use of thier gorgeous propery free of charge dispite the fact that Back Acres is a full-time working equine facility.  The shoot went like clock work and Sasha did an amazing job.  The new photos will be released by managment in the next couple of weeks.  We'll be taking you behind the scenes of the photo shoot on next weeks episode of "Aces Upisodes," so be sure to check it out.

View From the Top

We sure as hell haven't made it to the top, but it sure felt good to be back in the radio station. This morning we interviewed with "Fitz in the Morning" on 100.7 the Wolf. Fitz was great, as usual. We got to meet David Rose from Q13 FOX news, and we also got to reconnect with our good friend Joe from "Vendetta Red." We sang a little piece of "She Looks Like Home" and then they spun our single for the first time on the radio. All in all it was a good time. Miss the interview? Just click on the music player to the right and take a listen. Thanks Fitz, 100.7 staff, and all of you for calling in and requesting the tune. It was a great day for the Aces Up Family!
